[PLACEHOLDER, NOT LEGAL TEXT. These headings are the sections a signmaker's terms usually need. The wording must be written or approved by a solicitor, or replaced with Simply Stripes' existing terms, before this site goes live.]
1. About us. [To confirm: full company name, company registration number, registered office address and VAT number.]
2. Quotations. [To confirm: how long a quotation stays valid, what it includes and excludes, and whether it is subject to survey.]
3. Orders and acceptance. [To confirm: at what point an order becomes binding.]
4. Artwork and proofs. [To confirm: that the customer is responsible for checking spelling, telephone numbers and colours on the proof, and that approval is required before production. This clause matters commercially: it is the one that decides who pays when a sign is made with a wrong phone number on it.]
5. Prices and payment. [To confirm: deposit requirements, payment terms, late payment interest, and whether prices exclude VAT.]
6. Delivery, fitting and access. [To confirm: what the customer must provide on site, including access, parking and power, and what happens if a fitting appointment is missed.]
7. Customer property. [To confirm: the position on vehicles and premises left in our care, and insurance.]
8. Changes and cancellation. [To confirm: cancellation rights, and charges for work already done on bespoke goods.]
9. Consumer rights. [To confirm with a solicitor: bespoke goods are generally exempt from the 14-day distance selling cancellation right, but this must be stated correctly and applies only to consumers, not businesses.]
10. Guarantee and defects. [To confirm: the workmanship guarantee period, what it covers, and what voids it.]
11. Liability. [To confirm by a solicitor. Limitation clauses are the highest-risk part of any terms and must not be copied from another company.]
12. Intellectual property. [To confirm: ownership of artwork we originate, and the customer's confirmation that they have the right to use logos they supply.]
13. Governing law. [To confirm: England and Wales.]
14. How to contact us. [To confirm: the address and email for formal notices.]
