Privacy Notice
What we do with your information when you contact us, and the rights you have over it.

[PLACEHOLDER, NOT LEGAL TEXT. The sections below are the ones a UK privacy notice needs under UK GDPR. The specifics marked to confirm must be filled in accurately and the whole notice reviewed before launch, because a privacy notice that describes the wrong thing is worse than none.]
Who we are. Simply Stripes Signmakers Ltd, 33 Green Lane, Spennymoor, County Durham DL16 6JF. [To confirm: company registration number, ICO registration number if applicable, and who to contact about data protection.]
What we collect. If you use the enquiry form on this site we collect your name, email address, telephone number if you give it, the service you select and whatever you write in the message. We do not ask for payment details anywhere on this site.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis. We use it to answer your enquiry and quote for the work. [To confirm with a solicitor: the lawful basis, normally legitimate interests for responding to a business enquiry, and whether any marketing use is intended, which would need separate consent.]
Who we share it with. [To confirm: the email provider, the form handler once it is wired up, the website host, and any CRM. Each one that processes enquiry data must be listed.]
How long we keep it. [To confirm: retention period for enquiries that do not become jobs, and for customer records, which will be longer for accounting reasons.]
Cookies and analytics. This website uses Google Tag Manager with Google Consent Mode v2. Nothing optional is loaded until you choose: analytics, marketing and functional cookies are all set to denied by default, and only switch on if you agree via the cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer. [To confirm before launch: list the specific tags configured in the container, for example Google Analytics 4 or Google Ads, and the cookies each one sets with its retention period. A consent banner is only shown when a tag manager container is configured.]
Your rights. You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to how we use it, and to ask us to restrict its use. [To confirm: the email address for making a request and the response time.]
Complaints. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or by telephone on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice. [To confirm: how changes will be communicated.]
