How to brief a vehicle wrap: what your signmaker actually needs

[Placeholder] A good wrap brief is five things, none of them complicated. Get these to your signmaker and the quote comes back faster, tighter and without surprises.

[Placeholder copy] The single most useful thing you can send a signmaker is your vehicle registration. From that we get the exact make, model, wheelbase and roof height, which is the difference between a real quote and a guess with margin added for safety.

[Placeholder copy] Second, your artwork, in whatever state it exists. Vector files are ideal, but a decent photograph of your current van plus the original logo file gets most jobs moving. Be honest about what you have; recreating a logo is routine work.

[Placeholder copy] Third, what the vehicle is for. A van that parks outside houses sells differently from one that runs motorways. It changes where the phone number goes and how big it needs to be.

[Placeholder copy] Fourth, your timeline, especially if the vehicle is new and being collected on a date. Fitting slots book ahead, and a wrap fitted calmly is a wrap fitted well.

[Placeholder copy] Fifth, the budget conversation you might be dreading. Say the number. There is nearly always a good option at it, and knowing it early stops everyone wasting a week designing the wrong one.
