Why brand consistency matters in signage

[Placeholder] Your van, your fascia and your site boards are often the only brand touchpoints a local customer ever sees. Here is why they need to match, and what it costs when they do not.

[Placeholder copy] Most County Durham businesses do not have a brand guidelines document. They have a logo a printer drew years ago, a van that is roughly the right blue, and a fascia that was matched by eye to a faded photograph. Each one looks fine alone. Together, they look like three different companies.

[Placeholder copy] Consistency is not about vanity. Customers use visual repetition as a shortcut for reliability: the firm whose van, sign and boards all match reads as organised before anyone has picked up the phone.

[Placeholder copy] The fix is cheaper than most people expect. A signmaker who records exact colour references, fonts and layout rules the first time can hold that specification on file, so the second van and the replacement fascia match the first without anyone having to remember.

[Placeholder copy] If your branding has drifted, start with whatever gets seen most, usually the vehicles, and bring everything else in line as it comes up for renewal. Two years of natural replacement cycles is usually all it takes.
